The Ascendant makes the 3.7i/x sound like the speaker is on steroids-it is powerful with a well defined punch and solid bass. There is an immediacy that makes the 3.7i sound as if another veil has been lifted from the speaker. The added clarity lays bare the unique studio wizardry of some studio mixes.
